Israel Discount Bank of New York Partners with GoVA Foundation to Empower Military Families Through Financial Education

NEW YORK, NY (November 11, 2025) — GoVA Foundation announces a strategic partnership with Israel Discount Bank of New York to provide free digital financial education resources to low- and moderate-income (LMI) military families through GoVA’s innovative platform, The Edge. 

Through a Community Development grant from Israel Discount Bank of New York, the program will provide military members of LMI communities in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and California with comprehensive financial literacy tools and resources designed to build financial empowerment within the military community. The Edge platform offers interactive courses, financial calculators, and personalized resources tailored to the unique needs of service members, veterans, and their families. With 40% of service members earning LMI incomes, this partnership addresses a critical community need while demonstrating Israel Discount Bank of New York’s dedication to innovative community development. 

GoVA Foundation’s Executive Director, George Earhart, stated: “As an Air Force veteran, I’ve personally witnessed the unique financial challenges that military families face—from frequent relocations to deployment-related pay complexities to the difficult transition from military to civilian life. Israel Discount Bank of New York’s partnership allows us to provide critical financial education resources to military families who need it most. We’re grateful for their commitment to supporting the military community and look forward to the positive impact this collaboration will create.” 

The partnership launched in November 2025 in time for Veterans Day, reflecting both organizations’ commitment to supporting military communities and expanding financial education access. Israel Discount Bank of New York will receive LMI verification and impact reports as part of the grant agreement, while sponsored military members gain unlimited access to The Edge’s financial education tools for a full year. 

This collaboration is part of GoVA Foundation’s ongoing efforts to partner with forward-thinking financial institutions nationwide in service of military families.
