GoVA Partners with Avidbank
Expanding Financial Education Access for Low- and Moderate-Income Military Families in San Francisco Bay Area
CARY, NC (January 26, 2025) – GoVA Foundation announces a strategic partnership with Avidbank, a leading San Francisco Bay Area community bank, to provide free digital financial education resources to low- and moderate-income (LMI) military families through GoVA’s innovative platform, The Edge.
Through a Community Development grant from Avidbank, the program will serve 50 qualified military households in the Bay Area, including San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Alameda Counties. The Edge platform offers interactive courses, financial calculators, and other digital resources designed to build financial independence and literacy within the military community. The program emphasizes practical skills and strategies to help military families build long-term financial resilience.
“We’re excited to partner with Avidbank to expand access to critical financial education resources for military and veteran families in the Bay Area,” said George Earhart, the Executive Director of GoVA Foundation. “Our Edge platform’s user-focused design ensures participants can easily engage with and apply financial knowledge in ways that create lasting positive impact.”
The partnership launched in November 2024 and reflects both organizations’ commitment to supporting military communities and expanding financial education access. This collaboration is part of GoVA Foundation’s ongoing efforts to partner with forward-thinking financial institutions nationwide in service of military families.
