GoVA Foundation Partners with Republic Bank & Trust Company to Expand Financial Education for Veterans and Military Families in Tampa and Louisville
FUQUAY VARINA, NC (July 27, 2026) — GoVA Foundation is proud to announce a new community development partnership with Republic Bank & Trust Company to provide free digital financial education resources to military veterans and their families through GoVA’s innovative platform, The Edge.
Through a Community Development grant from Republic Bank & Trust Company, the program will serve veteran households across the Tampa, Florida (MacDill Air Force Base region) and Louisville, Kentucky (Fort Knox region) markets within Republic Bank’s CRA assessment areas. The Edge platform offers AI-powered learning paths, credit monitoring tools, and military-specific financial education resources — including guidance on VA loans, TSP, PCS finances, and homeownership readiness — designed to build long-term financial wellness within the military community.
“We are honored to partner with an organization that serves those who have sacrificed so much for our country,” said Chris Howard, Senior Vice President, National Sales Manager at Republic Bank & Trust Company. “This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting veterans and their families, not just through words, but through meaningful action and long-term investment in the communities they call home.”
“Republic Bank & Trust Company’s investment in this program reflects exactly the kind of forward-thinking partnership that creates lasting impact for military families,” said George Earhart, Executive Director of GoVA Foundation and Air Force veteran. “The Tampa and Louisville markets are home to thousands of veterans and active-duty service members navigating significant financial transitions. We’re grateful for Republic Bank’s commitment to making financial education accessible to those who have served our country.”
The partnership launched in summer 2026 and will provide sponsored members with year-long access to The Edge platform, quarterly educational webinars hosted by Republic Bank representatives on topics including VA home loans and the mortgage process, and opportunities for financial education events within the Tampa and Louisville communities.
This collaboration is part of GoVA Foundation’s ongoing efforts to partner with forward-thinking financial institutions nationwide in service of military families.
