GoVA Foundation Partners with Centier Bank to Expand Financial Education Access for Indiana’s Military Families
Centier Bank becomes GoVA Foundation’s first banking partner in Indiana
CARY, NC (February 25, 2026) — GoVA Foundation announces a strategic partnership with Centier Bank, an Indiana-based community bank, to provide free digital financial education resources to low- and moderate-income (LMI) military families through GoVA’s innovative platform, The Edge.
Through a Community Development grant from Centier Bank, the program will serve qualified military households across Centier’s Indiana assessment areas, focusing on Lake County, Indianapolis (Marion County), and Fort Wayne (Allen County). The Edge platform offers interactive courses, financial calculators, and other digital resources designed to build financial empowerment within the military community.
This partnership marks a significant milestone as Centier Bank becomes GoVA Foundation’s first banking partner in the state of Indiana, expanding The Edge’s reach to serve the state’s 168,000+ veterans and their families.
“Partnering with the GoVA Foundation to help support veterans and military families throughout the state of Indiana is something that Centier Bank is very excited about,” said Chris Campbell, President of Centier Bank. “Having grown up in a military family with a father that served in the first Gulf War flying aerial refueling tanker aircraft, I understand first-hand the bravery and sacrifice that our military demonstrate every day. All of us owe so very much to our veterans and military families, and being able to support efforts that provide them with a means to better financial literacy just feels right.”
GoVA Foundation’s Executive Director, George Earhart, stated: “As an Air Force Special Warfare veteran who served for 22 years, I’ve personally witnessed the unique financial challenges that military families face. This partnership with Centier Bank allows us to provide critical financial education resources to those who need it most in Indiana’s military community. We’re grateful for Centier Bank’s commitment to supporting veterans and their families, and we’re honored that they’ve chosen to be our first Indiana banking partner. We look forward to the positive impact this collaboration will create across Lake County, Indianapolis, and Fort Wayne.”
The partnership launched in February 2026, and reflects both organizations’ commitment to supporting military communities and expanding financial education access. Centier Bank will receive quarterly LMI verification and impact reports as part of the grant agreement, while sponsored military members gain unlimited access to The Edge’s financial education tools for a full year.
This collaboration is part of GoVA Foundation’s ongoing efforts to partner with forward-thinking financial institutions nationwide in service of military families.
